On Monday, a new law was written into the US Setness that puts a hold on how long foresitters can be in leadership.
This new law is the 22th law to be eked into the US Setness, and the
first since 1933 when making and selling ale became lawful again.
The new law says that each foresitter can lead for two times of four
years each. This means that no foresitter can be in leadership for more
than eight years altogether. Once a foresitter has led for eight years,
they must step down and let someone else take over.
Some folks are happy about the new law, as running things for a shorter
time will help keep the Foresitter from having too much sway. However
other folks think it will lead to not much getting done, and nobody
truly getting the leaders they want.
Notwithstanding how folks in the US feel about it, this new law being
written is a landmark happening that will likely wend how the US
Foresittership will be looked at going forward. Only time will tell if
it ends up being a good or bad thing for the US.
