11 Chinish Delvers Barrowed

On January 10th a blast abraided about 70 tons of dirt and stone, trapping 22 Chinish gold delvers 2000 feet underground.

The delfshaft opening was plugged, cutting off all ways to talk and breaking the lifts.

After then hundreds of barrow workers have been working day and night to get the men out of the delf.

They brooked a small makeshift hole to talk with the trapped delvers and send in food and libs.

On Sunday the ettinish thing that was cutting off the opening fell to the bottom of the shaft.

11 of the trapped delvers were pulled to aleesing.
Each one was swaddled in a warm cloth for that freezing cold, and blindfolded to help their eyes after so much time in darkness.

1 of the delvers might be trapped alone about 300 feet below the ground, with water rising around him. 9 more are still missing and at least 1 died from a head wound from the first blast.

The more time that goes by, the lower the odds of helping the other 9 before they die.
