drones have been spotted flying rings near the Taiwan-owned Pratas
Islands and Taiwan may shoot them down if they come too near, a deed that
could make a fight with Beijing much more likely.
While China does not acknowledge Taiwan as being its own rich, Chinese
liftcraft and ships mostly keep outside of Taiwan’s seascape.
Lee Chung-wei, who heads the Ocean Affairs Council said “It will
be handled under the laws. If we need to open fire, we open fire.”
The American heer is warning that China is likely speeding up its timetable for getting ownership of Taiwan.
The United States has long sworn to help Taiwan shield itself, but it
has willfully left murky how hard it would come down on China if they
strike.
China sent more fighter liftcraft into Taiwan’s skies on Wednesday.
The self-run folkdom has griped of the Beijing heer doing things time
and again lately, with China’s liftcraft making almost daily
flybys in Taiwan’s skies.
Taiwan’s leadership said it would fight to the end if China struck.
