The
left-wing of Chile won the most seats in the wale held to choose folks
to write a new Setness for the land. The Setness upheld right now was
written under the wield of strongman Augusto Pinochet. Many
Chileans have taken to the streets since 2019 to speak out against this
Setness, believing that it stopped the leedward from spending in
welfare or rightening the land's wealth uneveness. The left-wing
who have won hope to wend this in the new Setness.
Those on the right, such as Chile's Foresitter Sebastián
Piñera, worry that if the new Setness lets the rich spend more
and take more into leedward ownership, Chile might become less wealthy
than it is today. Those on the left believe that any growth in the land
must make the arm wealthier rather than only the already wealthy.
This wale was harkworthy in other ways as well. 17 seats were put aside
to be chosen by Chile's inland folk such as the Mapuche, the Aymara and
more. Women were also warranted to have as many seats as men so that
both have an even say.
