On Monday evening, a fight between Hamas and Israel broke out after weeks of buildup in Jerusalem.
The clashes started almost a month ago, when Israeli lawwards put up
walls, so folks wouldn't sit in the Damascus Gate yard, which kept
Palestinians from worshipping there during Ramadan.
Fighting near The Temple Mount got worse and led to Hamas firing almost 400 self flying weapons from Gaza into Israel.
Two women were killed by the flying weapons that hit their homes in the
borough of Ashkelon. Out of the few hundred weapons sent up, most fell
short or were shot down by the "Iron Dome", Israel's weapon shielding
setup.
Israel's heer said it was setting sights on Hamas heer leaders to get
back at them for all of the weapons fired at Israel. At least 26
Palestinians were killed when Israel struck back, of which some were
children.
For a long time Netanyahu kept things steady on the Temple Mount, but
things seem to be getting out of hand lately. The UK and the US have
called for both sides to cool down.
