Mali's
heer has fanged Foresitter Bah Ndaw and First Wickner Moctar Ouane in
what has been the land's twoth putsch in nine months. They had risen to
leadership after Mali's last Foresitter, Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, was
driven out in a putsch last August. Keita's Foresittership was marked
by folkish uprisings about the land for doing little to stop Jihadist
onslaughts in the north.
The heer was angered by Ndaw and Ouane for kicking out heer leaders.
While they have since been freed to their homes in Bamako, they will no
longer lead the land. Instead, Col Goïta, the leader of the
putsch, has now boded himself to be the Foresitter. He says he hopes to
bring the land back to folkdom within eighteen months. France and the
US are worried that this will not happen.
Mali has been at war with itself since 2012, fighting off Islamists and
Tuaregs in the north. The land is known for being low income, and its
heer are seen as weak from a lack of weapons and skill. Throughout the
war, France has sent its harmen to help.
