Peru has chosen the left-wing teacher and guild leader Pedro Castillo to be
their new foresitter, narrowly beating the right-wing former First
Lady, Keiko Fujimori. Fujimori, who has lost two other runs to lead the
South American land, has not acknowledged Castillo's win. She believes
the wale was run unfairly. Poll watchers from all over the world say
otherwise.
Before running for Foresitter, Castillo was not well-known. He has
never held any seat in the leedward before. In 2017 he helped lead a
teacher's strike. Fujimori, on the other hand, has been well-known in
Peru for many years. Her father was foresitter for ten years, and has
since been locked up for crooked dealings and misdeeds against mankind.
Keiko herself is also being fanded for maybe making crooked dealings.
When the news of Castillo's win broke, Peru's stocks crashed. Many
bankers and business leaders fear that he will be too left-wing.
Castillo has fanded to get rid of the fears by swearing not to take
businesses into leedward ownership.
