Hundreds of folk died and even more went missing after some of the worst flooding western Europe has seen in years.
Between Tuesday and Thursday last week there was all time high rainfall, with the worst of it on Wednesday night.
Some steads got as much as two months of rainfall in less than a day,
making stours burst their banks, and smashing entire towns.
In Germany, over 130 folk have died, and 1300 went missing, making it the worst hardship to hit western Europe in many years.
The floods brought about worries that German leaders have not done
enough to be ready for bad weather, and that Germany's flood warning
setup is not good enough. While the depth of big stours was watched
carefully, smaller streams not before seen as threats were not.
Tens of thousands of workers and hundreds of harmen were sent out with
liftcraft and boats to free folk stuck by the flood and look through
what is left of smashed buildings, but with roads being washed away,
and levin being out, it is hard to get things done.
