The
biggest heap of seld earth ore ever seen in Europe has been found in
Sweden. The seld earth ore was found near an iron ore delf by LKAB, a
folk-owned delving business that delves for iron in Northern Sweden.
Seld earth is needed for many things, but mostly it goes into the
making of levinstocks and lodestones. Both levinstocks and lodestones
are greatly needed for making levinwains, wind levinmakers, and many
other ednewendly levin sares.
The foresitter of LKAB has said the heap of seld earth ore they found
near Kiruna has more than a million tons within it, which will greatly
help Europe reach their green levin goals. However, he has said it will
likely take at least 10 years to get everything set up to begin delving.
As of now, nowhere in Europe has their own seld earth delfs, and almost
all of it has to be shipped in from China, which has the biggest known
seld earth stock in the world. A new wellspring of ore coming from
Sweden could help Europe lean on China less going forward.
