The
US has put out a broadcast saying that they will be sending warships
and harmen to the middle east, owing to Iran's fleet firing upon and
taking over trade ships in the Persian inlet.
Films on the web from earlier this month seem to show one of Iran's
ships firing at the trade ship Richard Voyager off the shore of Oman.
If Iran goes on shooting at unshielded boats, it could threaten all
free trade in middle eastern waters.
There are already 3 US warships nearby, that make up the Gerald R. Ford
Carrier Strike Group. These ships will be bolstered by 3 more, with
thousands of harmen aboard, called the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group.
This backup will be sailing through the Suez waterway, and then over
the Red Sea, before getting to where they're going.
Since the US pulled out of Afghanistan, their footprint in the middle
east has been small. But now the US and their trading friends say that
Iran has fanded to takeover nearly 20 ships in the last 2 years alone,
and they shouldn't keep getting away with it.
