Mexico's
first undertaking to go to the Moon is ready for liftoff. A starship
bearing five drones will be taking off from Cape Canaveral, Florida,
and heading for the Moon. The liftoff will happen between January 8th
and 11th if the weather is good enough. The undertaking is called
"Colmena" which means beehive, owing to how the drones will work
together like a swarm of bees.
After liftoff, the starship will head for the moon where it will drop
off the Peregrine moon lander. After the craft sets down on the skin of
the moon, it will open up and let out five small drones. The drones
will then find each other and link up into a sunboard for making leven.
Mexico wayfaring to the Moon is their share in the broader Artemis
undertaking. Led by NASA, the Artemis undertaking seeks to get mankind
back to the Moon by 2025. Mexico is not the only rich working with NASA
on Artemis, the Artemis Accords are a deal that have bound nearly 30
other riches worldwide to work together on getting mankind back to the
Moon.
