On
Saturday, Iran sent a fleet of drones and other flying weapons to
strike Israel and the Israeli-held Golan Heights. The strike was
bynamed "Operation True Promise." While this was one of the biggest
drone strikes ever, there were only 30 folks who were wounded.
By doing this, Iran was getting back at Israel for their strike on
Iran's bodership in Damascus earlier this month that killed 16 folks,
many of whom were higherups in Iran's harfolk, and some that may have
been behind the October 7th Hamas strikes.
Iran and Israel have a long yorelore with each other. They got along
better back when Iran was run by the Shah as a kingship. In 1979, the
last Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, was overthrown amid a Muslim
uprising. Since then, Iran has been run as a meanwealth called the
Islamic Republic of Iran.
After the strike, Iran said they were done getting back at Israel and
that they would not do anything else so long as Israel didn't "make
another mistake." Iran also called for the US to stay out of this fight.
