Rafah,
one of the southernmost towns in Gaza has undergone a big strike by
Israel that killed at least 45 folks in their homes. Some steads in the
town of Rafah were meant to be somewhere folks could go to get away
from the fighting, but now it seems the fighting has made it to them
anyway.
The IDF said that it was going after fighters, finding hidden shafts,
and taking weapons from Hamas. But Gaza said that a strike from the sky
was brought down on homes where bystanders were living. Israel's
foresitter, Benjamin Netanyahu said it was a sad mishap, and that they
only meant to kill fighters.
Since the fight between Israel and Gaza began on October 7th of last
year, there have been over 35 thousand folks killed in Gaza, and nearly
100 thousand wounded. Yet some Hamas fighters are still said to be
hiding within Gaza.
The untold swathes of unneeded deaths has led to many riches worldwide
to speak out against the fight. Spain, Ireland and Norway have gone as
far as to acknowledge Palestine's self ownership.
