On
Friday, a software upstep gone wrong led thousands of reckoners
worldwide to shut down. The reckoners that went down were running
Microsoft Windows with sickerhood software made by CrowdStrike, an
American owned web sickerhood business.
This is said to be one of the biggest reckoner shutdowns in yorelore.
The reckoners going down upset stock trading, sickhouses, broadcasting
outlets, and much more. Many liftfields were also shut down; films on
the web showed flights all over the US being grounded.
The mishap was owing to a shift in the kernel setup of CrowdStrike's
Falcon software, leading to the well-known BSOD (Blue Screen of Death).
The head of CrowdStrike said he was deeply sorry for any harm that was
brought about by their mistake.
Elon Musk said on Twitter that CrowdStrike software had been taken off
all of their reckoners. Shutdowns like this have led many folks to
worry that having most of the world's reckoners running Microsoft
Windows could be a great weakness to the steadiness of the web.
