On
Tuesday, thousands of wireless beepers througout Lebanon blew up,
killing at least 12 folks and wounding thousands more. The next day,
another wave of strikes came from walkie-talkies blowing up throughout
Lebanon, killing another 25 and wounding even more folks.
Israel's harfolk said they had taken the wireless tools while they were
being shipped and rigged them to blow before sending them on their way.
The strikes were meant for Hezbollah, but many folks who were not
fighters were also killed, inning two children.
Wireless beepers are an older tool that was widespread in the 1990s.
Higher-ups in Hezbollah thought that Israel had underdelved their
smart-handset networks, so they called on their folks to go with an older
tool for keeping linked up.
This strike was owing to Hezbollah taking the side of Hamas shortly
after their October 7th inbreak into Israel. The spokesman for
Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, called the strike an unlawful bloodbath
and called for Israel to openly bring the fight to Lebanon.
