Ettinish
rainstorms hit southeastern Spain this week, leading to widespread
flooding and the deaths of over 200 folks living there. On top of the
deaths, there are nearly two thousand folks missing, as well as much
harm done to homes and other aught.
With the heavy rain, it didn't take long for the Magro and Jucar
waterways to overflow into nearby towns. The flooding mainly hit near
the Valencia borough. The foresitter of Valencia, Carlos Mazon,
broadcasted that the storm would be gone soon, but it wasn't long
before Valencia shut down their seaside harbor and some flights were
sent elsewhere to land.
Valencia was not the only stead harmed, though. There were also
landslides in Andalusia and more flooding throughout Murcia. This is
one of the worst floods in Spain's known yorelore. Owing to a
3-day cold drop in 1957, there was a flood in Valencia, Spain, that
killed 81 folks. In the last hundred years, this week's floods are only
the twoth worst, after the 1962 Valles floods that took some 617 lives.
