Throughout
this month, Los Angeles and the wilderness on its outskirts was hit
hard by wildfires. Though the fires are not as bad as they were at the
beginning, there are 4 that are ongoing and could spread if the winds
get worse.
Since the fires began on January 7th, over seventeen thousand buildings
were harmed, some of them fully burned down. Hundreds of thousands of
folks fled for there lives, but there were at least 28 known deaths,
and more wounded or missing.
Leading up to the fires the weather was forecasted to be swith dry and
windy, making wildfires likely to break out. Therefore the leedward
broadcasted a Fire Weather Watch for Southern Califonia which was
raised to higher rungs in following days.
Firefighters came from everywhere to fight the blaze, but they were not
enough. On January 8th, the boroughreeve of California, Gavin Newsom,
sent in the harfolk to help as well. When the harfolk were still not
enough, quarterns in California let out hundreds of outlaws to go fight
the fires as well.
