Gaza Fight Comes To A Stop

16-01-2025

Yesterday, a stopfire was called for in the fight between Israel and Hamas. The foresetting of the deal was written up by the US, Egypt, and Qatar and was put forward by the US foresitter early last year. Daysmen will be holding a meeting on Thursday in Cairo to get the deal going.

The foresetting calls for a six-week stopfire and the letting go of all Israelish yisels being held in Gaza in trade for all of the Gazans locked up in Israel. However, not everyone will be let go at once.

The winding down of the fight will be done in steps. First, some chosen yisels will be traded, then talks of ending the fight for good will be had before letting everyone else go, and lastly, giving back the bodies of those who died in the fight.

Fighting between Israel and Gaza has been ongoing without much of a break since October 7th of 2023, when Hamas infared Israel in a ferly strike. Since then, tens of thousands of folks have died amid the fighting. If this stopfire goes well, the fighting may not start back up again.
