Scott
Adams, the writer behind the well-known funnies strip Dilbert, died
today at the eld of 68. His death comes after over a year of struggling
with cancer and other illnesses.
Adams grew up in New York and went to Hartwick College for higher
learning. Later he chose to go to Berkeley in California to learn about
business. After his higher learning was done, Adams took up many sundry
kinds of work.
While working as a clerk, Adams came up with Dilbert, the funnies strip
that he is most known for. Dilbert was first broadcast in 1989 by
United Media. It started small but grew quickly over the next few
years. By 1996 Adams was working on Dilbert full-time and the funnies
strip was in over 800 newsleaves.
In his later years Adams started a show on YouTube called "Real Coffee
with Scott Adams." He went on broadcasting his show up until a few days
before his death. Although some folks did not care for his wieldcraft
thoughts, his funnies have likely made a mark on all of the newsleaf
readers of America.
