British
showplayer Anthony Head died this week at the eld of 72 owing to a lung
illness. He was left behind by two daughters, Emily and Daisy, both of
whom are showplayers as well. They said he died frithfully near his kin.
Head was born in London in 1954. He grew up among kin who were already
heavily wound up in show business. Both his father and mother were
showplayers, and his father, Seafield Head, was a filmmaker as well.
It took years of work in playhouses and farseer shows before Head was
well known. His first big break was a Gold Blend beanwater touting that
was broadcast on the UK farseer networks in the 1980s.
After his breakout, he was best known for playing Rupert Giles in the
Buffy the Vampire Slayer show but also had other well-liked berths in
shows such as Merlin and Ted Lasso.
Head could play many kinds of folks, whether they were good, evil,
lighthearted, or stern. With his body of work spanning over 40 years,
he will not be soon forgotten by the showwatchers who love his work.
